Irish scene: Meet Ultraviolet-Gaming
Written by rzelky
Wednesday, 25 August 2010 12:22

Ultraviolet-Gaming [ http://uv-gaming.eu/ ], based in Ireland, was founded in June 2009.  We support both PC and Console teams across the FPS and RTS genres, spanning such titles as Counter-Strike (1.6 & Source), Call of Duty (COD4 & MW2), Day of Defeat: Source, QuakeLive and Starcraft 2.

Some of the teams currently carrying the UV banner:

Deleters (Counter-Strike 1.6)

Started in January 2009, Deleters have already thoroughly established themselves in the European CS scene, placing first at PELA LAN in 2009 & obtaining a top 5 finish in EGU 2010, as well as finishing number one in the first and second edition of Kutno LAN.

Team Audax (Call of Duty 4)

A new lineup bringing in some big names such as Shifteh (formerly in TCM) and XyZZZ (formerly in Auric), Team Audax is poised to strike swiftly for the top of COD4 in Europe.

Recently, Ultraviolet announced our first Xbox 360 team for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (DRM), who will be representing the organisation at EGE and ECL2 in October.

On top of this, we’re looking to expand our roster with teams in games such as Team Fortress 2, Halo 3 and Starcraft 2.

The first session of the Munster Super League for Super Street Fighter 4 players took place in the Moviedrome in Limerick on Saturday 19th June.
