Deadline Approaching For Ownage #3 First Round PDF Print E-mail
Written by Sabre0001
Friday, 26 February 2010 23:30

Ownage #3 is underway with 176 signups. As a result of the number of signups, a 256-player double elimination bracket was format. Every participant will play two competitive fixtures at least. As there are fewer players than there are player slots, some will automatically progress to the second round. All matches until the final round will be played as a best-of-three series.

The deadline for the first round of the tournament is February 28th. Interviews with players such as  Milton,  LocKtaR,  LuGia and Quake 3 star  fooki are available here.

Saturday, 13 February 2010 01:27

Another edition of Ownage is warming up. Signups are currently open and will remain so for one more week. The format initially depends on the number of signups. If there are 128 or 256 signups, the tournament will run as a double elimination bracket. If the number of signups are between these figures, a 128 double elimination bracket will be run but players must qualify to participate. Please use this thread or the comments section on the Quakeworld.nu post to suggest improvements or ideas. Active discussion will also take place on #ownage.qw on IRC.

Written by Sabre0001
Sunday, 03 January 2010 12:41

Registrations have opened for the upcoming Clan Warz Poland 4v4 QuakeWorld Tournament. This tournament is open to all European QuakeWorld clans but games are to be played on Polish server Aster unless both clans agree otherwise. There will be no divisions. Instead, clans will play each other in round-robin system, every two clans will face each other twice. This rule is subject to change based on number of signups. If there is enough demand, teams will be split into divisions with playoffs at the end of the regular season.

Ownage Grand Final Going Live PDF Print E-mail
Written by Sabre0001
Sunday, 22 November 2009 20:53

QuakeWorld is still alive and well; a point proven by the Ownage QuakeWorld Duel Tournament which reaches it's conclusion tonight. Almost 300 matches have taken place with 150 players whittled down over time until just two remain. LocKtar and Avenger will go head-to-head for the title. These two players faced off just over a week ago in an epic match that LocKtar pipped 3-2. The final should produce more of the same and is eagerly anticipated by QuakeWorld fans. The match kicks off at 21:00 GMT.

This final is to be shoutcasted by Jehar and Hangtime, and will be streamed on Quakeworld.nu. Videos of previous matches from the Ownage tournament can be located at Tastyspleen
